Qunaitra, southern Syria ( SANA - Syrian news agncey)- Head of the
Democratic Polo Party in the Republic of Colombia Carlos Kaveira Diaz
condemned on Saturday the Israeli brutal destruction of Qunietira city,
southern Syria, expressing his shock over the devastation he saw which
exposes the Israeli destructive, occupying mentality.

Mr. Diaz described this destruction as unprecedented brutality and
terrorism, stressing his country's support to Syria with regards to
regaining the occupied territories .

For his part, Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party in Qunaitra branch
Mohammad al-Afash gave a historic description of Quniatra and the occupied

Syria celebrates 35th anniversary of Hoisting the Syrian Flag in Quneitra

Quneitra, (SANA)-On the 35th anniversary of liberating Quneitra and hoisting
the Syrian Flag by the late President Hafez al-Assad in 1974, and Under the
patronage of President Bashar al-Assad the Syrian flag was hoisted Friday at
the entrance of the liberated city.
The Syrian national flag is made of natural silk with 20 meter length, 10
meter width, and the height of flagpole is 50 meters.
Senior party officials, lawyers and governors attended the celebration. They
hailed the heroism and sacrifices of the Syrian army at Tishreen (October)
liberation war in 1973 which led to the liberation of the Syrian southern
city.
Late President Hafez al-Assad raised the Syrian flag in Quneitra on June
26th, 1974 after liberating it from the Israeli occupation.
