TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian commander on Saturday highlighted the
country's air defense capabilities, and said that Tehran is now able to
produce all types of radars by itself.

"We have the honor to announce that we have reached full self-sufficiency in
the production of different types of needed radars with different ranges and
frequency bands," Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier
General Ahmad Miqani said.

"We have attained outstanding progress in area of manufacturing and
optimizing different types of defense systems and information and
communication systems," the commander added.

Elsewhere, Miqani pointed to the soft war waged by the enemies against the
Islamic Republic, and urged that enemy plots would be defused merely through
the unity, solidarity and mightiness of the Iranian nation.

Earlier in November, the Iranian Army staged wargames in the western and
central parts of the country which aimed to enhance preparedness of nuclear
sites' air defense units for confrontation against possible enemy attacks.

The drill was being held in an area of 600,000 square kilometers and in
addition to Iran's army and Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Basij
(volunteer) forces and the police also took part in it.

The Iranian Armed Forces' function against the enemy's cyber war was
evaluated in the drill whose main purpose was integrity of the country's
defense forces.
