Hamas Deplores Appointment of New US Security Coordinator

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, lashed out
at the US for appointing a new security coordinator between the Palestinian
Authority and Israel, and warned that the US is seeking to stir strife among
Palestinians through such measures.

The spokesman for Hamas movement, Fawzi Barhoum, said the assignment of
Admiral Paul Bushong as security coordinator comes as a part of the American
project for undermining the Palestinian cause and resistance.

Barhoum added that the American move is a blatant intervention in the
Palestinian issue to widen internal gaps and to loot capabilities of the
Palestinian people.

The spokesman further urged an end to all forms of security arrangements and
coordination with the Zionist regime.

He stressed the necessity for the materialization of national reconciliation
among Palestinians, and asked for devising a national strategy to support
the Palestinians and confront all the challenges faced by his nation.
