Al Qassam website- Beirut- Sheikh Saleh Aruri, member of the Political
Bureau of Hamas and the official in charge of the prisoners’ file, said that
there is lack of action towards the cause of the 27 MPs who are detained in
the occupation prisons.

"We are ready to sacrifice everything for the MPs who have been detained by
the occupation and for all the prisoners. Our only solution is to detain
Zionist soldiers so that we can achieve freedom for the Palestinian
prisoners (through prisoner-exchange deals) because we failed to get the
released through the negotiations that lasted twenty years" Aruri confirmed.

He also added in a press statement to Al-Quds TV on Tuesday June 6 that it
is not logical to talk about losses during the process of liberating the
prisoners, citing the example of the war waged by the occupation on Lebanon
to free two Israeli soldiers and that despite the fact that Israel knew that
they could have been dead, it paid heavy human losses for their release.

The Palestinian leader revealed that everyone, including the authority, has
been neglecting the detained MPs, adding that "the Occupation authority
internationalized the case of Shalit and so we must internationalize the
case of Palestinian prisoners. Thus, all Arabs and Palestinians should take
serious actions supporting the prisoners’ issue."
