Syrian pilot granted political asylum

Amman, June 21(Petra)-- State Minister for Media Affairs and Communications
/ Government Spokesperson Samih Maayteh announced on Thursday that the
Cabinet decided to grant the Syrian pilot, who landed today at one of the
Royal Jordanian Air Force airbases, political asylum upon his request.
