The following information was published in the 21 June edition of Makor
Rishon:

Expected completion: By the end of 2012

Length: 240 km

Structure: 3 meters underground barrier (steel plate) + 5 meter fence (steel
plate)+ 2 meter cyclone barbed wire on top

Overall cross section of border:
(1) Border
(2) Anti-Tank ditch
(3) Buried water containers that would burst in event of tunneling – thus
signaling that tunneling underway
(4) Fence
(5) Cameras
(6) Small cement barriers
(7) Berms

Workers on fence project: 1,500

Heavy equipment: 600

Earth moved: To date 7 million, total project 14 million

Iron: 50,000 tons
