Egyptian President-Elect Mohamed Mursi In Victory Speech: I Will Be The
President Of All Egyptians

In a speech following his victory in the elections, Egyptian President-Elect
Muhammad Mursi expressed gratitude to the military, the police force, and
"all sectors of the Egyptian people." He promised that, as "president for
all Egyptians, wherever they may be, home and abroad," he would build a
"national, constitutional, democratic, and modern state" in Egypt.

Following are excerpts from the speech, which aired on Al-Tahrir TV on June
24, 2012.

"I say to all sectors of the Egyptian people, to my people and my clan, that
on this glorious day and by your own choice and your own free will – second
only to the grace of Allah – I become president for all Egyptians, wherever
they may be, home and abroad..."

In a speech aired on Misr 25 TV and posted on YouTube on May 13, 2012,
then-Egyptian presidential candidate Muhammad Mursi called for jihad and
"death for the sake of Allah," and promised that, if elected, he would
ensure that the constitution would reflect the Islamic shari'a "regardless
of the actual text."

Following are excerpts from the speech.

"The Koran was and will continue to be our constitution. The Koran will
continue to be our constitution."

During Visit To U.S., Hani Nour Al-Din, Egyptian Salafi MP And Member Of
Al-Gama'a Al-Islamiyya: We Will Honor The Camp David Accord

On June 23, 2012, it was reported that Hani Nour Al-Din, an Egyptian Salafi
MP, visited the White House and State Department as part of a delegation of
Egyptian lawmakers, despite the fact that, as a member of the
U.S.-recognized foreign terrorist organization Al-Gama'a Al-Islamiyya, it is
unlawful for him to travel in the U.S. Asked why the State Department had
issued Al-Din a visa, spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said the circumstances had
been investigated, but declined to comment further.

Following are excerpts from a June 26 interview Al-Din gave in Al-Jazeera's
Washington, D.C. headquarters during his visit to the U.S..

"With regard to the Camp David Accord, since the beginning of the revolution
all the Islamic movements and political parties concur that we must uphold
all the international agreements signed by the former regime..."
