Arrangements for the Funeral of the Seventh Prime Minister, Yitzhak Shamir

At the weekly Cabinet meeting today (Sunday, 1 July 2012), Ceremonies and
Symbols Committee Chairman Minister Stas Misezhnikov briefed ministers on
the arrangements for the funeral of Israel's seventh Prime Minister, Yitzhak
Shamir, which will take place tomorrow (Monday, 2 July 2012).

At 10:00, Yitzhak Shamir's coffin will lay in state at the Knesset. The
public will be able to pay its respects until 16:00.

At 18:00, the state funeral will begin at Mt. Herzl. A representative of the
family, President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and
Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin will speak. The public will be able to attend
the funeral.
