(Hamas more honest about incident) Spokesman for Mahmoud Abbas condemns Israel for thwarting major terror attack

Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA: Take a look at the contrast in reports by our
"peace partner" and Hamas.

Our "peace partner" - Fatah - gives a narrative in which it sounds as if the
IDF murdered the three innocent civilians in cold blood ("Israeli forces
raided early Saturday Jenin refugee camp, where they surrounded and opened
fire").

Hamas in sharp contrast explains that "IOF soldiers encircled a house in
which Hamza was entrenched along with other fighters and asked him to
surrender but he refused and exchanged fired with the soldiers."

Take note: Other reports explain that Hamza was about to carry out a major
terrorist attack against an Israeli target.

Presidential Spokesperson Condemns Recent Israeli Escalation in Jenin

RAMALLAH, March 22, 2014 (WAFA - PLO news agency) - Presidential
Spokesperson, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, condemned Saturday the ongoing Israeli
escalation of targeting Palestinians and ongoing storming of al-Aqsa Mosque
compound.

Israeli forces raided early Saturday Jenin refugee camp, where they
surrounded and opened fire on the house of ‘Azmi Abu Iyad, killing three
Palestinians; Hamza Abu Haija, 23, Yazan Jabarin, 23, and Mahmoud Abu
Zeineh.

Several others were injured during the attack, including three seriously.
Forces also arrested three injured people.

Abu Rudeineh said that Israel is pursuing a systematic policy of murder
against the Palestinian people that is meant to cause the destruction of
everything.

Abu Rudeineh held the Israeli government fully responsible for this
escalation and called upon the US Administration to ‘act quickly to prevent
the collapse of everything.”

Israeli undercover forces followed by large military forces broke into the
camp, where they surrounded the house in which the murdered people
barricaded themselves, and opened fire from machine guns at it, according to
member of Fatah parliamentary block, Jamal Huweil, who made an inspection
visit to the house.

Huweil added that forces shot stun grenades and gas canisters at the house,
causing large number of people to suffer from excessive gas suffocation.

Forces also prevented paramedics from reaching the scene to transfer the
injured people to hospital, forcing people to carry and transfer the injured
to the hospital through narrow alleys.

Governor of Jenin, Talal Duweikat, condemned the murder and described it as
“a heinous crime added to Israel’s record of crimes against the Palestinian
people,” that comes as part of the persistent Israeli attempts to foil peace
efforts meant to bring the Israeli occupation to an end and find a just
solution to the Palestinian cause.

Fatah Spokesperson, Usamah al-Qawasmi, said in a press statement that:
“Israel exploits the Arab and international silence to commit crimes against
the Palestinian people”.

Jenin - Three Palestinians were killed and 20 others were injured in
pre-dawn clashes Saturday with Israeli occupation forces in Jenin refugee
camp.

Hamza Abul Haija, 22, of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas was
killed in the shoot-out along with Mahmoud Jabarin and Mahmoud Abu Zeina,
local sources said.

They said that the IOF soldiers encircled a house in which Hamza was
entrenched along with other fighters and asked him to surrender but he
refused and exchanged fired with the soldiers.

The sources said that casualties were suffered in lines of the soldiers
while the Hebrew radio said that only two Yamam squad members were slightly
injured.

They said that the IOF soldiers threatened to blow up the house and
bulldozed part of it before retreating from the refugee camp after killing
the three fighters.

The sources pointed out that angry inhabitants attacked the soldiers with
firebombs and stones in an attempt to break the siege on the house, adding
that more than 20 citizens were injured in the ensuing clashes some of them
in serious condition.

Hamza was wanted for the IOF which chased him for years. His mother has been
in hospital for the past few days while his father and two brothers are held
in Israeli prisons.
