A poll by the Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera) said
that 82 percent of Egyptians are satisfied with President Abdel Fattah
al-Sisi's performance after 100 days in office.
Five percent opposed his performance, while 13 percent could not make up
their mind. Maged Othman, head of the center, said the poll was conducted
through landlines and mobile phones on a sample of 2009 citizens who were 18
years old and above from 17-19 September.
He said the results were four percent higher than deposed president Mohamed
Morsy's approval rating after 100 days of his rule, who got 78 percent.
Asked if they would vote for Sisi in case presidential elections were held
tomorrow, 78 percent said they would, while eight percent said they would
not. Another 14 percent said it depends on who the other candidates would
be.
Around 69 percent of those who would vote for Sisi again were between 18-29
years old, while 86 percent were above 50.
