PLO news agency terms yard in Temple Mount where Arabs play soccer "mosque"

[Dr. Aaron Lerner - IMRA: Take note of the terminology used in this news
item by the PLO news agency. The item itself makes it clear that Jews are
touring in the "yards" rather than inside buildings. Yet the same article
goes on to claim that settler are "breaking into the Mosque". It should be
noted that Arab teenagers play soccer in these "yards". ]

Under Israeli Police Protection, Settlers Break into Al-Aqsa

JERUSALEM, December 14, 2014 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli settlers broke into
the yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound on Sunday morning accompanied by a
large force of Israeli police, said WAFA correspondent in Jerusalem.

Tensions rise in Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound as Israeli settlers resumed their
provocative tours, which inflame Palestinian worshipers, especially
following the deadly incidents which occurred over the course of the last
few weeks in Jerusalem and its neighborhoods.

Worshipers who were in Al-Aqsa Mosque yards responded with cheers and shouts
to express their refusal of the provocations committed by Israeli extreme
settlers with the police’s protection.

Meanwhile, Israeli police continue to hold the identity cards of tens of
young Palestinian worshipers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque gates to restrict access
and exit from the compound and curb any attempt to start a protest against
settlers breaking into the Mosque.

The provocative tours were called for by a number of extreme religious
Jewish groups including Students for the Temple, Women for the Temple,
Hliba, and Union Temple in preparation for the Jewish holiday, Hanukkah,
also known as the Festival of Lights. The groups intended to perform
Talmudic prayers in celebration of the occasion.
