Syrian Exports hit more than USD 143 million in 2014

Damascus, SANA- The total value of Syrian exports whose certificates of
origin have been ratified by Damascus Chamber of Industry hit USD
143,527,640 since the beginning of the year and till 30/11/2014.

Textile exports have witnessed a considerable growth as their value amounted
to USD 515, 087,754 and they were mainly exported to Lebanon, Iraq, Algeria,
Tunisia and Italy, and the exhibitions in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt have been
basic gates to get in contact with importers, Chairman of Syrian Exporters’
Federation Mohammad al-Sawah said.

The source added that the total value of chemical exports reached USD
5,166,085, the engineering exports hit USD 719,746, food exports was at USD
109,201 and other exports moumted to USD 860 238 54.
