MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Moscow will judge Israel’s deeds while assessing
its steps to implement agreements on Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey
Lavrov said on Wednesday.

When commenting on Israel’s recent air raids against targets in Syria, he
said that during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to
Moscow, the parties had confirmed agreements "concerning military
cooperation between Russia and Israel in Syria."

"We will judge by deeds and not by statements in order to figure out if our
Israeli counterparts abide by these agreements," the Russian top diplomat
said.

On March 17, the Israeli air force carried out a raid against several
targets in Syria. Israeli Transport Minister Yisrael Katz later said that
the attack had been aimed at preventing modern weapons from falling into the
hands of the Hezbollah movement militants. Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor
Lieberman, in turn, said that if Syria employed its air defense system
against the Israeli warplanes, it would be eliminated.

On March 21, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the
country would continue airstrikes against convoys carrying weapons for
Hezbollah on Syria’s territory.
