Observation: Cellcom Israel Opts for Politics Rather Than Contributing to
the Situation
Dr. Aaron Lerner 18 May 2021
Cellcom Israel organized its workers to strike today for an hour against the
"extremists" at the same time that the Arab sector was carrying out a
political strike.
The move has been slammed on Cellcom's Facebook and on the news sites.
It should be noted that Cellcom has a huge PR budget with the ability to
quickly prepare a video and get it broad attention.
What video?
A heartwarming video showing smiling Jewish and Arab Cellcom employees
serving the Israeli public.
Jews serving Arabs, Arabs serving Jews. And all with a smile.
This, after all is the story and message of Cellcom, every hour and every
day.
Instead Cellcom opted for a political message with a decision to reduce
service for at least an hour at a time that telephone service is critical
and the public is under tremendous pressure.
