Weekly Commentary: Netanyahu's greatest achievements COVID-19 vaccine and
Putin deal
Dr. Aaron Lerner 9 January 2021
Back in September 2015 Israel faced an incredible challenge when Russian
forces, protected by the advanced S-400 anti-aircraft missile defense
system, deployed in Syria.
Would Russia shield their allies in Syria from Israeli attack?
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pressed for a meeting with Russian
President Vladimir Putin and on 21 September, a day before Yom Kippur,
Netanyahu achieved an unprecedented understanding: ISRAEL COULD CONTINUE
BOMBING RUSSIA'S ALLIES IN SYRIA!
The Russian S-400's would not shield Russia's allies from Israeli attacks.
And they do not to this very day.
Last week Netanyahu had another world class achievement. Accelerating the
supply of the Pfitzer COVID-19 vaccine so that all citizens of Israel over
16 will be vaccinated within two months, by the end of March at the latest.
And it wasn't easy. It took PM Netanyahu 17 personal conversations with
Pfizer Chairman and CEO Albert Bourla to convince him to agree.
It remains to be seen if ending the COVID-19 nightmare before election day
assures Netanyahu a victory. As we learn from Moses' experience, even the
greatest miracles don't stop the Children of Israel from complaining...
