Poll: 38.2% Support The Prisoner Release

The following is IMRA's translation of results of a telephone poll of a
representative national sample of 504 adult Israelis (including Israeli
Arabs) carried out by Shvakim Panorama for Israel Radio's "Another Matter"
program on 6 August 2003 as presented on the website of the radio station
(http://bet.iba.org.il )

It has been reported that the Palestinians proposed to Israel to accept a
cease-fire - "hudna" without a time limit, instead of the breaking up of the
terror infrastructure in the territories. Should Israel accept this? (No
mention in question about growing terror infrastructure)
Yes 45.8% No 49.4% Don't know 4.8%

Right wing MKs plan to go up to the Temple Mount on Tisha B'Av. Do you
support them?
Yes 33.2% No 56.8% No opinion 10.0%

Israel released more than 300 Palestinian prisoners today. Do you support
this move?
Yes 38.2% No 55.2% No opinion 6.7%

There are plans to legislate a law requiring parties with more than 15 MKs
and 30,000 members to have the members vote in primaries to elect the list
of party candidates for the Knesset. Which method do you prefer?
