IDF calls for diplomatic action to stop Palestinian attacks

Israel Radio reported this morning that senior IDF sources call for urgent
diplomatic action to halt the ongoing mortar and rocket attacks against
Israeli targets in the Gaza Strip. According to Israel Radio over 50
Palestinian mortars and rockets have landed in Israeli locations in the
Strip in the last 24 hours.

The IDF is the "Israel Defense Force" - not the "Israel Diplomatic Force."

IMRA asked the IDF Spokesperson's Office this morning if the decision not to
return fire or take other military action to stop the Palestinian attacks
came from the State level (e.g. prime minister or defense minister) or the
military - and if the decision is a military one if it was made by the COS,
Southern Commander or the local commanders.
