Tonight a third Israeli relief team will departure from Israel to the
affected regions of Cyclone Nagris in Myanmar. The team will consist of
medical personnel, training specialists and logisticians who would continue
IsraAID's relief efforts in the field.

Earlier in the week an IsraAID member joined Israel's Ambassador to Yangon
both attending the ASEAN-UN Donor conference which was held to raise funds
needed to help in the disaster zone. An estimated 51 countries participated
in this conference.

IsraAID member teams left Israel 4 days after Cyclone Nagrin hit the Delta
region in Myanmar. Two teams operated in the field one distributed over 10
tons of relief items in crucial affected areas and the other provided
training to over 500 local medical professionals on effective response in
large scale disaster sites. The team has provided these training using
skills that were accumulated in Israel in times of large scale disasters.

The teams are able to do their work thanks to the generosity of Jewish
partners who believe in Israel's professional relief teams. Among them could
be found: The American Jewish Committee, CMS Companies, The UJA Federation
of Greater Toronto, B'nai B'rith International, The Jewish Federation of
Greater Los Angeles and The American Joint Distribution Committee.
