Al Qassam website - Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said it has no
battle in Syria or any other country except for Palestine. It confirmed that
its battle is against Israeli occupation only.

In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas said it aims to liberate Palestine, to
guarantee the right of return of Palestinian refugees, and to establish the
state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital.

This came in response to what has been broadcasted on the official Syrian TV
channel last Friday about the confessions of Mamoun al-Jaloudi on Hamas’s
role in the Syrian conflict.

Hamas denied the accusations and confirmed its constant position of not
interfering in the internal affairs of any country including Syria. Hamas
said it has no connection to Aknaf Beit al-Maqdes movement in Syria.

Hamas added that Jaloudi’s confessions were taken out of him under torture
and threats. It called on all the concerned parties in Syria to neutralize
Palestinian refugee camps especially Yarmouk from the ongoing struggle in
Syria.

Hamas, finally, wished safety, stability, and peace for Syria and its
people.
