Observation: "Pillars of Democracy" Silent While People May Die Tonight as
Roads Blocked Around the Country
Dr. Aaron Lerner 26 March 2023
It started years ago when the police decided that it wasn't good for PR to
arrest a handful of people in wheelchairs on major roads.
And tonight around the country roads are being blocked.
There's no way to reach major hospitals from many locations.
As for the leadership of the opposition and those who claim to be pillars of
democracy – be it the Israel Democracy Institute, political leaders, or
Supreme Court Justices - not a word against road blocking.
For the record: Naftali Bennett saw fit to issue a call tonight against
violence but not a word about road blocking.
I have talked with highly educated road blockers and THEY THINK IT IS OK IF
PEOPLE DIE because of blocked roads.
