Observation: Useful Idiots From Security Assume Jordan Relationship Eternal
Dr. Aaron Lerner 31 January, 2020
What would you think if a senior analyst delivered the following report:
+++
JORDAN – ISRAEL RELATIONS 2030
There is a 100% probability that the Jordanian royal family will continue to remain in power in 2030.
There is a 0% probability that domestic, regional or other developments not directly determined by Israel will change the relationship between Jordan and Israel by 2030.
+++
You would think he was an idiot.
The senior Israeli security experts now opposing the application of Israeli law to the Jordan Valley in order to secure control of the area argue that this is not necessary because of our relations with Jordan. They assert that nothing should be done that might undermine that relationship.
For all intents and purposes, their policy recommendation reflects that they embrace the above fictional report which, if explicitly issued, would be considered the analysis of an idiot.
Do the math.
They are useful idiots?
