Dr. Edy Cohen of Begin Sadat Center to IMRA: Israel Should Not Support
Jordan
Dr. Aaron Lerner 14 July 2021
QUESTION FROM IMRA:
Dear Dr. Cohen,
You write "Jordan is suffering from severe financial hardship due to
COVID-19, corruption, mismanagement, and a lack of natural resources,
including water. King Abdullah believes opening the door to the Shiite
regime in Iran will rescue his country from these crises."

]
PM Bennett apparently has agreed to help out Jordan with more water. Would
you recommend Israel consider measures to help Jordan's economy to reduce
the importance of Iran's potential contribution to the Hashemite State or is
it a lost cause?
I'd like to share your response with IMRA readers.
Thanks.
Best regards,
Aaron

Dear Aaron,
No of course not.
in contrast we most reduce our support.
Israel sells gas and water to the kingdom.
Jordan has left the Gulf countries and Israel.
And it is courting Iran.
Jordan canceled 2 clauses from the peace agreement.
Israel is not responsible about the corruption in the Arab world and of
course must not support and save the Arab rulers.
Best regards
