Technical note: 63 Days Inclusive For Passage of Bill of Rights By House of
Representatives in 1789

The presentation of the Bill of Rights to the House of Representatives on
June 8, 1789 marked the beginning of the legislative process for the first
ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

The House of Representatives passed the proposed amendments on August 24,
1789 (63 days inclusive from the day it was presented).

The Senate followed suit on September 9, 1789 (16 days inclusive from the
day it was passed to the Senate).
