If Prime Minister Netanyahu hadn’t stood his ground on controlling the Philadelphi Corridor the smuggling highway found only last week would have never been discovered.

Substituting the continued search for tunnels with the placement of sensors proposed by all the Israeli security community and the Americans would have never found it since the sensors are designed to detect DIGGING - not existing tunnels.

And there’s no telling how many more highways are yet to be discovered.

“…Early last week, during one of the operations to locate underground routes in the Philadelphi area, a three-meter high tunnel was found on the Philadelphi Route.

At this stage, the forces continue to investigate and neutralize the detected underground pathway, as well as other extensive pathways found.

The IDF will thoroughly destroy all underground infrastructures on the Philadelphi Route and will act resolutely to prevent their formation in the future.”
