Histadrut: Give Hamas Victory!!!

In a bold move to bring Hamas a victory in the hopes that in return Hamas will release some of the hostages the head of the Histadrut - in violation of the agreements which the Histadrut has signed with many sectors in which strikes only relating to employment conditions are permitted - announced a complete and total shutdown of the Israeli economy.

The head of the Histadrut made the announcement after meeting with the subgroup of families of hostages who support giving priority to the return of their loved ones over the future of the country - a group which enjoys the media’s recognition as THE representatives of all of the families of hostages.

It is noteworthy that absolutely no discussion is taking place in the media regarding the ramifications of abandoning the Philadelphi Corridor - nor what scenario can any reasonable assessment of the situation could result in the return to the Philadelphi Corridor.

The profound failure of the senior security establishment to employ their brains instead of the luxury of their hearts raises serious questions regarding their holding these key positions.

The failure of the media to discuss this challenge seriously is a stain on the industry.

The decision of so many leaders who should know better to support this disastrous move will record them in our history for the terrible choice they made.
